Lee Fox being presented with his NVQ Level 2 City & Guilds by George Case of DART (Dales Agrculture & Rural Training Ltd.) which is the leading work-based training provider for horticulture in Derbyshire.

The apprenticeship programme Lee Fox has just completed is funded by the Learning and Skills Council (LSC) & DART who work closely with employers and also provides apprenticeships in other land-based sectors. DART has a team of trainers and assessors who visit learners on employers premises and conduct assessments for NVQs in real working situations. Although only establish since the late 1990s, DART has a reputation for an employer centred and flexible approach, this was recognised in a recent inspection by the Adult Learning Inspectorate. In addition to NVQs at level one, two and three in general horticulture, landscaping and sports turf, DART is a centre for National Proficiency Test Council (NPTC) certificates in competence in such skills as safe use of pesticides, chainsaws, tree climbing, brushwood chippers and clearing saws.
